Raising money for TULIPS (Help Those with Cancer)
Once again, The Abnormals have put together a great calendar for 2017 at a cost of 20TL, of which half will go to EFRAR 2017.
The calendar, on sale now from The Venue, The Village Bistro, The Kuzzy Bar all near Esentepe plus Mary and Art Watson and from Susie Quiz Facebook page or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The calendar shows The Abnormals in their various guises as well as some photographs of their supporters.
The Abnormals, who do a lot of charity work here in North Cyprus, have already done many events for EFRAR 2017 and Tulips.
The Abnormals are comprised of Susie Ford (entertainer and script writer), Martin Ford (entertainer), Annette McCloskey (DJ and entertainer), Andy Cooper (DJ and entertainer), Alison Bone (back room lady) and Clarissa Cooper (Treasurer). They all work very hard to bring their charity shows together for EFRAR 2017 and Tulips and rehearsals for their Christmas show is going well and more information on where and when will be announced soon.
Mary Watson, Chair of EFRAR 2017 said: “Without the support of people like The Abnormals, who do all this for free, then EFRAR 2017 and Tulips would not benefit from their hard work and their continuous donations. We thank them wholeheartedly for the enthusiasm and support and look forward to their Christmas Show which is bound to be a sell out.”

Working Together – Clarisse and Andy Cooper
Clarisse and Andy Cooper really enjoy life on the island. When they moved here 3 years ago from Northampton, Andy had severe health problems and they were both worried about what the future would bring. Now, Andy is fit and well and has been an active member of The Abnormals team for the last 9 months.
Clarisse also has her own part to play. At each show she enthusiastically organises the raffle and somehow manages to persuade the audience to part with more money than they perhaps intended.
Clarisse is a passionate supporter of E.F.R.A.R. She lost both of her parents to cancer and is happy to raise as much money as possible to help those on the island that are suffering from cancer
Thanks Clarisse and Andy. We appreciate your support.

The season’s first Abnormals’ show, in aid of the Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips), raised 1,000TL for the charity.
Held at The Venue near Esentepe on Saturday 16th July, the evening was full of fun and comedy with the Abnormals providing their own particular brand of variety show. There was also a guest appearance by Kelsey Opel.
About 70 people attended the event where they enjoyed either a two-course or a three-course meal. All those who attended paid 10TL for their ticket and this, together with the raffle, raised the 1,000TL for the charity.
Mary Watson, Chairperson of the 2017 EFRAR committee said: “I am so delighted the Abnormals have chosen Tulips as their designated charity and I am confident that with their energy and enthusiasm, they will raise a significant amount of money for the charity over the coming months.”
The Abnormals next show, which will start at 8.30pm will be on Saturday, 30th July at the Gorgeous Bar, Küçük Erenköy. Booking is advised by ringing 0533 837 7020.
