News from Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan……..
A bright and breezy Wednesday morning saw members and friends of the Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan head to Lefke’s CMC Golf Club to spend a few hours clearing the beach of all the rubbish. Even entertainer Peter Dawson, who had serenaded guests at the Club’s Charter Celebration last Saturday 25th March, found time to join in with the litter collecting!
Rotary is a service organisation, and community service days such as these make up an important part of Rotary’s work. Over nineteen rubbish bags were filled with plastic detergent and drink bottles, cans, and various lengths of nylon rope, before everyone enjoyed a friendly and informal lunch at the Golf clubs Secret Garden cafe that included some of the best Bulgur Kofte to be found in Cyprus.

The English Language Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan has 32 members of all different ages and backgrounds who believe that by working together we can achieve more. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturday afternoon of each month at Merit Park Hotel, and prospective members are welcome to join in and find out more.
