Heartbeat Fun Run Raises 230,000 TL for Community Beds

Heartbeat North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust is proud to announce the outstanding success of its *first-ever Heartbeat Fun Run*, which brought together runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters from across North Cyprus in an inspiring day of community spirit, generosity, and determination.

Held at *The Wild Duck, Lapta*, the event saw participants of all ages and abilities take part in the charity’s *5K and 10K Fun Run*, creating an uplifting atmosphere filled with energy, encouragement, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

Thanks to the incredible support of the local community, the event raised an amazing *230,000 Turkish Lira*.

These funds will now be used to purchase *two much-needed hospital beds for Lapta Belediye*, which will be made available for use by members of the community in their own homes. This vital equipment will provide comfort, dignity and practical support for residents requiring care at home, making a meaningful difference to families across the region.

A spokesperson for Heartbeat said:

“We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our community. The success of the Heartbeat Fun Run has exceeded all expectations. Raising 230,000TL is a remarkable achievement, but more importantly, this money will directly help local people by funding two community hospital beds that families can access when they need them most. This is what Heartbeat is all about — supporting our community in practical, meaningful ways.”

The day was a true celebration of community spirit, with runners crossing the starting line beneath Heartbeat’s red and white archway, supporters cheering from the sidelines, and volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the event ran smoothly.
