North Cyprus Events Calendar from 20th September 2018

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com.

The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information you would like to be included by Tuesday evening each week.

The North Cyprus Forum events calendar is now incorporated on the cyprusscene website where you can register as a member and post your own events.

Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 7.30pm you can enjoy Isle of Dogs (2017). 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available.. Reservations must be made – call 0533 839 8764

Spaghetti Junction, Catalkoy, quiz night in aid of Tulips starting at 8 pm. 50 questions and a table top extra. 5TL per person. Quiz will be split 50/50 to the winning team and Tulips. Raffle 5TL a ticket, winner chooses envelope for meal for 2 at Spaghetti Junction, bottle of wine, or money. If the money is not won on the night it rolls over.

Hope 4 Pets will be having a live auction at Bar 33 (The Old Mill), Ozankoy Printed catalogues will be available from Bar 33 and the H4P Wednesday stall at Lemar, Catalkoy between 9.00-13.00 from 16th September. Numbered catalogues 20TL with Free prize draw. Viewing opens at 1pm on auction day. Food will be available, at 5pm and first auction will commence at 6.30pm. 30th September – Sunday

Underwater sea clean up at Guzelyali Beach starting at 10am. Cyprus Underwater Explorers Dive Centre and No Straws North Cyprus have arranged this clean up in which 4 dive centres will participate. Con Kahve Lefkosa are donating hessian sacks (degradable) for collection of the plastic waste in the sea. Following the clean up there will be a festival at Sardunya Bay at 1pm with live music.

KADS will be at the Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak with a re-run of their show “The complete works of Shakespeare in 15 minutes” and many other humorous sketches. The No Straws Walkers will be starting their Cape to Cape walk across North Cyprus to draw attention to the increasing problem of rubbish around the coastline and inland. They are being sponsored by restaurants and bars who have already adopted the “No Straws” campaign.
