The Annual registration for 2018 is now due. The registration should be made with your local Belediysi.
You will be required to show proof of your dogs microchip registration (certificate/receipt) and will be asked to pay 17TL for male dogs or neutered female dogs and 55TL for an un-neutered female.
If your dog is over 6 months old and does not have a microchip then you should visit your Veterinary clinic immediately and ask to have your dog implanted with a microchip and the registration form for the Government Veterinary Department completed.
It is the law that all dogs have a microchip as a means of identification. This is very valuable if your dog strays, is involved in an incident or if there is any dispute with regards to ownership. Also any dog travelling out of the country will firstly require a microchip before any other of the export regulations can continue. Street dogs collected for neutering by the local authorities, as well as being tagged, are also being given a microchip for identification purposes.
