North Cyprus Events Calendar from 24th August 2017

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com. The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information to be included by Wednesday pm each week.

Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) will be having a Pink Month in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month … Further details will follow when event dates are arranged.

St Andrew’s Church – Men’s Breakfast Club at Uncle Sam’s has been put on hold during the hot summer months. We will advise you when it re-starts.

Ozankoy Sports Club –Every Tuesday there is Bingo at 21.00 with a big prize of 2500TL.

The Soulist Coffee and Music House, Alsancak. Every Wednesday with Alper Cengiz and Friends, Blues music from 9.30pm.

Kyrenia Youth and Resource Centre (GIGEM), Girne – From 14^th August – Pilates every Monday at 4pm and Thursday at 11.30am. From 7^th August – Yoga – Every Monday at 10:00am and Thursday at 18:00pm.

23^rd to 27^th August

11^th International Lefkosa Folk Dance Festival at Caglayan Park, Lefkosa … There will be groups from Spain, South Korea, Mexico, Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus participating in the event.

24^th August – Thursday

Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 8pm you can enjoy 3 Men and a Little Lady (1990) …. 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available…….. Reservations must be made – call 0533 839 8764

The entertainment will commence at approx 7.00pm with support band Acoustic 4, playing a range of classic songs from the 60-90’s … The Beatlemania 2 hour show will follow at approx 8.45pm … there are 3 costume changes to reflect the evolution of the Beatles sound, from Moptops to Sergeant Pepper to White Album era …
