North Cyprus Events Calendar from 22nd June 2017

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com. The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information to be included by Wednesday pm each week.

In addition, if you register as a member of northcyprusforum.net, your events can be included in the members’ calendar.

22^nd June – Thursday	Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 8pm you can enjoy Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) …. 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available…….. 22^nd to 24^th June	The 8th International Lapta Tourism Festival will be opened by Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün on 22 June at 20:00 … Various dance shows and concerts will take place at the festival, which has the theme, ‘Echo of the Nature’ … Folk dance teams from Turkey, Macedonia and Poland will participate in the festival.
23^rd June – Friday	The Soulist Coffee and Music House – CYPRUS JAZZ Meeting from 9.30pm – Entrance: 20 TL
24^th June – Saturday	The SeAngle Bar in Catalkoy will be featuring Billy J Redif starting at 7pm … He will be playing and singing 50/60s, Rock n Roll, jazz, Motown, Swing, Pop and a whole lot more …. to book your table please call 0533 869 3834
27^th June – Tuesday	Vicki Karaca of the Black Olive Cafe in Alsancak has organised a Jeep Safari with Cyprus Active. It is a day trip taking in lots of lovely sites and views … the cost is £40 including lunch. If you would like to join in contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133
28^th June – Wednesday	The Alternative Quiz at Blakes Lounge Bar and Bistro, Alsancak, starting at 7pm …in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) who are looking for 15 teams of 4 people (max) to take part in this fun quiz and definitely not for professional quizzers … 30TL includes Chicken Goujons, Chips and Coleslaw …. 10TL will go to Tulips …. 9^th July – Sunday	Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan will be holding an auction and BBQ day at Jessics Bar and Restaurant in Karsiyaka from 1pm … This will be a fun afternoon with good food, great auction bargains, raffle, plus entertainment by “Peter Swings” … The event is in aid of Yesilyurt Special Needs School which will receive 100% of money raised.
6^th/7^th/8^th September	RBL Theatre Players event – “The Three Musketeers” at The Wild Duck Restaurant, Lapta –– their first ever outdoor production … Tickets are just 30TL and go on sale from 17th June at the RBL stall at Lambousa Saturday Market or calling in anytime at the Wild Duck, or by contacting Andrew Cowley on 0533 866 7563 or emailing him at pantomime.rbl@gmail.com

16^th September – Saturday	There will be a Beatles show “BeatleMania” at the Girne Amphitheatre which will be in aid of CESV (Civil Emergency Service Volunteers … This will be a brilliant night out to sing and dance to some of the finest music ever created … More details to follow.
