12th October – Saturday	Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be holding a children’s fun day and the theme will be Halloween themed with making handicrafts and cooking to get ready for the children’s Halloween party on the 26th October. 14th October – Monday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch will be holding their monthly Quiz Night at the Deniz Kizi Hotel in Alsancak...
17th October – Thursday	Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) will be having a “Pink Day” starting at 10.30am. There will be 8 supporters (dressed in pink) collecting for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and they will be working their way from the Girne Belediye down to the Dome and around the Harbour. There will be a Tulips stall at the Plaza outside the Belediye Offices and also a Lokma stall. There will also be keyrings in the shape of a bra at 10TL each which can be purchased from the Tulips stall at the Saturday Lambousa Market and Lemar Market in Catalkoy and also from the Bestseller Bookshops in Alsancak and Karakum.
18th October – Friday	The Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be hold a “Curryoke” evening starting at 7pm. This will be an alternative karaoke night so why not go along and enjoy. Please book if you are eating – contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
18th October – Friday	The Almond Lounge in Alsancak will be having live music and prize draw every Friday and this week there will be a Swinging 60’s Night (Andrew Sings). Prize draw tickets will be on sale. Entry to the Almond Lounge is free
21st October – Monday	NCCCT Bingo at the Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm. The jackpot was won last time so there will be a new jackpot commencing at 700TL (50 numbers). 35TL for a book of bingo sheets and a chance of a mini Mars or Snickers Bar for winning lines or a house and of course there is the free raffle as well. 22nd October – Tuesday	NCCCT will be holding a fashion show and buffet at Jasmine Court Hotel, starting at 12 noon. Tickets are 30TL each which will include a 3-course hot and cold buffet. 23rd October – Wednesday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch will be holding a Speaker’s Lunch at The Ship Inn, 12.30 for 1pm. The speaker will be Jarra Brown MBE and he will be talking about Repatriation of the Fallen and his time at Royal Wootton Bassett. There will be lunch of Chicken Curry followed by ice cream. 30TL for RBL members.
24th October – Thursday	Mr P and Mr D will be presenting The Alternative Quiz to be held at The Fez in Ҫatalkoy starting at 7.30pm. 20TL to include chicken and chips in a basket. 24th October – Thursday	Ozankoy Bookshop have Patricia Jordan for a Gardeners Meeting at 10.30am when she will be pleased to talk to people about plants and their gardens and will also be pleased to sign copies of her books.
25th October – Friday	Faure’s Requiem at Bellapais Abbey at 8pm with the Lefkoșa Municipality Orchestra and the Kyrenia Chamber Choir. Programmes for admission can be obtained from Bridget Kerr by contacting 0533 848 6038 The event is in aid of the SOS Children’s Village.
25th October – Friday	The Almond Lounge in Alsancak will be having live music and prize draw every Friday and this week there will be an Andrew Sings Variety Night. Prize draw tickets will be on sale. Entry to the Almond Lounge is free
26th October – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital. ..3 months must elapse between donations.
26th October – Saturday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding a fun packed “Relive the 60’s Night” at The Mountain View Hotel starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are 50TL per person and include a buffet supper and local drinks from 8pm to 11pm. Entertainment will be by Werner and his Steam Machine with also some old favourites sung by Jan and Mike. 26th October – Saturday	There will be a concert at Bellapais Abbey starting at 8pm when Gulseren Sadak (wife of the late Ali Yaliman) will be giving a piano recital. More details to follow soon. ..

28th October – Monday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their quiz night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 7.30pm. 15TL with a fish and chips or chicken shish supper. 29th October – Tuesday	The Girne Writers Guild is presenting “Evening of Radio Nostalgia” at Tervetuloa Restaurant, Alsancak starting at 8pm.
1st November – Friday	The Almond Lounge in Alsancak will be having live music and prize draw every Friday and this week there will be a Rat Pack & Friends Theme Night – Andrew Sings. Prize draw tickets will be on sale. ..Entry to the Almond Lounge is free ..
2nd November – Saturday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball will be at the Vuni Palace Hotel, Karakum starting at 7pm. 4-course meal with unlimited local drinks from 7.30pm to midnight. Tickets 110TL for members and 120TL non-members available from the RBL stall at Lambousa Saturday market, to reserve phone 0533 859 2451. Dress code : Black tie/lounge suits. There will be music by the Rock and Roll Rebels plus a late night disco with DJ Max and a raffle and auction will also take place during the evening. A very popular event, so don’t delay in reserving tickets...

9th November – Saturday	Bonfire Night at Lambousa Market site. Gates open at 5pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks will be around 7.30pm (to be confirmed by the Fire Service). Food and drink will be available throughout the evening and there will be games, stalls and entertainment for all.All proceeds from the games and stalls will be donated to Kyrenia Animal Rescue.Entrance is by advance tickets bought at Lambousa Market – 12.50TL for adults and 10TL for children. 9th November – Saturday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Walk will start and finish at JK’s in Lapta, starting at 11am. The route of 5km and 10km will include the new coastal footpath, by kind permission of the Lapta Belediyesi. The event is being sponsored by JK’s and Dağli Sigorta. Registration and sponsorship forms can be obtained from the RBL stall at Lambousa Market or from the Courtyard Inn, Karakum.
10th November – Sunday..	Remembrance Sunday at the Old British Cemetery followed by lunch at The Ship Inn. ..More details later. ..
12th November – Tuesday	The NCCCT will be holding their November Coffee Morning at Di Figaro in Karaoglanoglu starting at 10.30am. This looks like another lovely venue for this event. There will be stalls selling all sorts of items and with Christmas not too far away this may be a good opportunity to look for some early Christmas presents...
13th November – Wednesday	There will be a fundraising event for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) at Cengiz’s Restaurant, Alkan Village, Esentepe. This will be a Race Night with the first race starting at 7.30pm. 20TL will include Chicken & Chips, Fish & Chips or a Vegetarian option and a donation will be made to Tulips. Booking essential with a deposit by calling Cengiz on 0533 869 7512. ..If you want to be an Owner/Jockey please contact Ivor on 0533 839 5380 but note that slots are going fast. All welcome, including non-diners, but as dining spaces are limited you would be wise to book early...This should be a good night so why not go along and have a flutter.
13th November – Wednesday	The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their Afternoon Tea Talk at 3pm and the speaker will be Steve Sydenham talking about the subject he didn’t have time for at his last talk – “the Ugly” which will be covering some of the less than nice people and celebrities in the motor racing world. This should be very amusing and interesting. 7th and 8th December. Saturday and Sunday	The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be opening their “Santa’s Grotto” at the Mountain View Hotel for the local schools and all children who would like to come along and visit Santa. This is going to be a superb grotto which will delight children of all ages...
10th and 11th December. Tuesday and Wednesday	The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their Christmas Singalong at the Mountain View Hotel.
