3rd September – Tuesday	“Swaps” evening in aid of KAR. Bring along 3-5 items such as unwanted gifts, clothes etc. and swap with the items brought by others. 10TL for 5 raffle tickets and entry to the Swap which will be donated to KAR. There will be supper of Lasagne (Veg or Meat) available on the night. If you want to book to eat contact Rebecca by email: rebecca.hughes55@yahoo.co.uk. This should be a fun evening.
3rd to 26th September – Every Tuesday and Thursday evening	9pm in the garden of the Goethe Institute (next to Ledra Palace in the UN buffer zone) there will be 8 different German films (with English sub-titles). The films are from the 1930’s to present times. Admission is free and there are cold drinks and snacks available. For more information contact the Goethe Institute on 22674606
6th September – Friday	The Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be having a fun quiz starting at 7pm. 15TL to include supper. The event will still be in the garden this time. To book teams contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
11th September – Wednesday	The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their Afternoon Tea Talk at 3pm at the Mountain View Hotel and it is hoped that Dorothy Betts will be available to give her long awaited talk about Shadows of the Empire, her book about the Old British Cemetery in Kyrenia and some of the people buried there. 12th to 30th September	Devon (aka Mr Rodeo) will be performing at various venues around North Cyprus. A brilliant country music performer who will treat you to an evening of music to sit and enjoy or get up and dance to. Look out for the itinerary of Devon’s venues to be published shortly.
13th September – Friday	The Black Olive Cafe – Ladies Night starting at 7pm. Watch Mama Mia in the garden and have supper from the buffet for 20TL. To book contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
14th September – Saturday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, will be holding a Mediterranean Supper Party at the Deniz Kizi Hotel in Alsancak starting at 7pm. There will be a superb buffet available. Tickets are 50TL for RBL members and 55TL for non-members. Order by telephone 0533 859 2451 and collect from Lambousa Market on Saturday 31st August or 7th September or alternatively order by telephone and pay on the night when you arrive. Entertainment will be by Pure and Simple (Lynn and Simon Barter) who will be singing songs to suit every taste.
16th September – Monday	NCCCT Bingo Night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm. There is still a rollover jackpot of 1,200TL. A book of 6 cards @ 35TL. Free raffle and the famous Mars bars and now also Snickers for the winners. Pre-order a nice supper of Fish & Chips for 15TL when you arrive to be served at half-time. A good evening’s entertainment.
21st September – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at Lambousa Market, Lapta. 3 months must elapse between donations.
24th October – Thursday	The Alternative Quiz will be held at The Fez in Ҫatalkoy starting at 7.30pm. 20TL to include a meal in a basket. The event is in aid of KAR. To book telephone 0533 967 1781
26th October – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital. 3 months must elapse between donations.
2nd November – Saturday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball. More details later.
2nd and 3rd November Saturday and Sunday	The Lefke Date Festival will be held on 2nd and 3rd November. More details to follow later.
