Gazimağusa Municipality has started to inspect school canteens throughout the city. The inspections, covering all schools, will examine the general hygiene and health conditions of the schools while checking the expiration dates of products, employee health reports and operating permits.
In addition, inspections of hygiene conditions in respect of food production and 
sales activities are being carried out throughout the city to ensure there is no risk to human health in the workplace.
Teams are checking whether the products offered for sale are hygienic, expiration dates and employee health reports and operating permits, and that meat offered to the public is sealed.
