ARUCAD’s Three-Day Summer Fest Ends with Lively Finale

Organized by Arkın University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), Summer Fest drew a large turnout from June 10 to 12, 2026. Held across the Main Campus in Girne and the Bandabuliya Campus in Lefkoşa, the three-day festival brought together students, academics, and visitors for music, dance, performance art, games, and social activities.

The festival opened on June 10 with a Masked Ball at the Main Campus, where masks and creative costumes created a vibrant atmosphere.

On the second day, events moved to ARUCAD’s Bandabuliya Campus in Lefkoşa. The programme began with performances by students from the ARUCAD Modern Dance Department, followed by a “Sampling 101” recital from Sound Arts Design students that introduced audiences to electronic music and sound production. Later, Troya and Isgartalar drew strong interest at the Agora Open Stage, while “Improv Jam Featuring Bandabuliya Modern Ensemble,” led by Dr. Ataman Kınış and Lecturer Yıldız Güventürk, combined music and movement in an improvisational performance.

The Bandabuliya Campus programme concluded with the audio-visual performance “Tales from the Future,” featuring works from the album of the same name by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İnal Bilsel, Head of ARUCAD’s Sound Arts Design Department. Blending electronic music, visual storytelling, and an experimental approach, the performance stood out as one of the festival’s highlights.

On June 12, the festival’s final day, ARUCAD and Technoport hosted special events at the Main Campus in Girne. After yoga, games, and other activities, Rüya, Morningstar, Madame, and The Gang performed on stage. With strong interest from both the university community and outside participants, Summer Fest ended with an energetic finale.
