Students of GAU Faculty of Architecture presented their proposal projects for the Kashgar Region to the Mayor of Girne, Nidai Güngördü.
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü, welcomed Girne American University students of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts, Gizem Karaca, Nur Gültekin and Barış Çete with Faculty member, Hassina Nafa. The students showed their infrastructure and landscaping proposal projects to Mayor Güngördü and exchanged mutual information. Güngördı gave a gift to the students after the presentations.
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü, said architects designed by adding characteristic features to a city, the image of the city affects the positive and negative. He pointed out that the architectural work has been in the city for many years and therefore, the students’ work should be designed with good thinking.
Güngördü stated that he liked the ideas for the Kashgar project very much and added that they would benefit from these ideas in the architectural projects to be prepared.
