The students of  Department of Pre-School Teaching, Department of Classroom Teaching, Department of Social Sciences and Department of Gifted Education of Atatürk Faculty of Education organised  an exhibition entitled “21st Century Faces Mask Exhibition”. The exhibition was part of a “Creative Drama Course” of the students.

According to the information provided by the Near East University, the opening ceremony of the exhibition at the Fine Arts Exhibition Hall of Atatürk Faculty of Education was held with the participation of the Faculty Dean Professor Ismail Hakkı Mirici, Pre-School Department Chairman Associate Professor Umut Akçıl, Institute Director Professor Fahriye Altınay, Creative Drama Department Chairperson Asst. Prof. Dr. Emine Kıvanç Oztuğ, Associate Professor Engin Baysen, Head of the Department of Basic Education, Expert Emine Koşucu, Instructor in charge of the course, faculty members and students of Atatürk Faculty of Education.

The Faculty Dean Professor Mirici congratulated the students studying at the Department of Pre-School Teaching, Department of Classroom Teaching, Department of Social Sciences and Department of Gifted Education of Atatürk Faculty of Education for preparing such an outstanding exhibition and wished them continued success.

The Exhibition Coordinator and Faculty Member at the Department of Pre-School Teaching, Exp. Emine Koşuçu stated that creative drama was a process-oriented form of drama, where students were fostered to imagine, enact, and reflect on experiences real and imagined. “Within the scope of the exhibition, the students created artworks and masks reflecting the human faces of the 21st century. Those who attended the exhibition had the opportunity not only to see the masks created by students, who are more talented and creative than each other, but also to read the history of the masks and share their ideas”.
