May 19 Youth and Sports Day was celebrated joyfully

North Cyprus celebrated May 19 Youth and Sports Day with vibrant ceremonies, music and energetic performances. Communities came together to honour Atatürk and highlight the energy, talent and spirit of young people across the country.

May 19 Youth and Sports Day was celebrated joyfully

The May 19 Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day celebrations organised by Lapta Yavuzlar High School began with a large procession.

As part of the celebrations, an opening ceremony took place in front of the Atatürk Bust in Lapta, followed by a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem.

During the ceremony, Fırat Ataser congratulated the young people and highlighted the importance of May 19 Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day.

An exhibition prepared as part of the programme was also opened, presenting students’ work to attendees.

The municipality thanked everyone who attended and shared this meaningful day, especially the teachers and students who helped make the event possible.
