Near East University Faculty of Sports Sciences organized a seminar themed “Quality Physical Education and Sports Policy”.
According to the information provided by the press release issued by the Near East University, the Faculty of Sports Sciences held a seminar and provided a scientific platform to discuss and exchange ideas on sports policy and quality physical education at sports schools. It was stated that the seminar, which was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nazım Burgul, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, was held with the participation of NEU Vice Rector Professor Tamer Şanlıdağ, Salih Sarpten, Director of the Educational Office of the Ministry of National Education, Professor Mehtap Tiryakioğlu, Dean of NEU Faculty of Sports Sciences, METU Faculty Member Professor Levent Ince, department chairs, faculty members and many physical education teachers working in schools across the TRNC.
The opening speech of the event was delivered by Professor Mehtap Tiryakioğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences. In her opening remarks, she welcomed the participants and pointed out that it was the third seminar that they had organized in the current academic year.
METU Faculty Member Professor Levent Ince, Asst. Prof. Dr. Osman Emiroğlu, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, and Associate Professor Hakan Atamtürk, Head of the Department of Recreation, participated at the event as speakers.
