Black Olive Christmas Bazaar, a great event

Although I couldn’t find the time to go to the Black Olive Christmas Bazaar held at the new location on 12^th December, Chris managed to spend some time there and took some lovely photographs of the occasion.

Travelling along the Karaoğlanoğlu Road on a number of occasions we were at a loss to find the new premises but a couple of days before the Christmas Bazaar we actually located it.   On the day of the Bazaar the sign had finally been erected so there should be no problems in the future for anyone attending an event at the Black Olive.

When we finally discovered the new location, we popped in to say hello to Vicki, who was surrounded by Christmas decorations in readiness for the Bazaar.  A lot of work to be done but the ever smiling and energetic Vicki had all this sorted by the time the day of the Bazaar came around.

There were many stalls selling all types of wares to tempt people to think about Christmas presents etc.  Dawn Buyukertas with her beautiful jewellery, Mo Davies with her lovely artwork, Auriana Stevens (Step a Thon Champion!), Richard and Diane Currie, Phil Woods and his wife and ‘Woody & Planky’.   Roland Eyerich from BRT Radio had dropped by, and also Mike and Brenda Plant and friends, to name but a few that Chris chatted to.  Despite all the work necessary for this event Vicki had also managed to provide nibbles and also soup, which was delicious going by the comments which were made after the event.

There were many people who had gone along to the Bazaar and Chris said what a lovely atmosphere there was with everyone having a great time, as you can see from the photographs.   A great venue to host events with many different themes.

We understand an amount of 2,100TL was raised at the event for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).   Well done Black Olive, the stallholders and all the people who attended the Bazaar.
