North Cyprus Events Calendar from 2nd August 2018

 A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus.  For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com.  

The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information you would like to be included by Tuesday evening each week.

The North Cyprus Forum events calendar is now incorporated on the cyprusscene website where you can register as a member and post your own events.

2nd August – Thursday	Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy.   Starting at 7.30pm you can enjoy Harvey (1950) 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn.  There are also hot dogs and nachos available.. 2nd August – Thursday	Quiz Night and Karaoke at SAS Bar (The Venue), Turtle Bay, Esentepe at 8.30pm.  5TL per person.  To book teams call 0533 884 9816
2nd August – Thursday	There will be a Qatar Goodwood Festival Ladies Day in aid of NCCCT at the Spice Garden in Bahceli, starters orders from 2pm. There will be a raffle and 50/50 and clothes for sale, as well as food and drink available.  All monies raised will be donated to NCCCT.
2nd August – Thursday	Spaghetti Junction, Catalkoy, quiz night in aid of Tulips starting at 8 pm.  50 questions and a table top extra.  5TL per person.  Quiz will be split 50/50 to the winning team and Tulips.  Raffle  5TL a ticket, winner chooses envelope for meal for 2 at Spaghetti Junction, bottle of wine, or money.  If the money is not won on the night it rolls over.
3rd August – Friday	The Olive Press Bowls Club, Lapta  will be holding a quiz night in aid of KTW (Karsiyaka Turtle Watch) starting at 7.30pm.   5tl per person for the quiz and also there is a Brainbuster Question that rolls over each month until someone gets the correct answer, that is an optional buy at 5tl as well. 6th August – Monday	SAS Bar (previously The Venue), Turtle Bay, Esentepe, will be having a Bingo night with Martin from 8.30pm.  Books 25TL
6th August – Monday	RBL Quiz Night at Jessics Bar, Lapta.  7.30pm.  10TL entry fee, 10TL for game of Stupid Bingo.  To book call Mo on 0542 855 8589.  Food menu available.  Event in aid of the 2018 RBL Poppy Appeal.
7th August – Tuesday	Bar 33, Ozankoy will be holding an Alternative Quiz Night with Gazza, raising money for KAR, starting at 7.30pm.  Meals will be available but must be pre-booked – call 0548 888 3371 Tables are for the quiz teams.  5TL from each meal will be donated to KAR. No entry fee but there will be fines for wrong answers!! which will be donated to KAR.  There will also be a table top sale with some good quality clothing.

13th August – Monday	Sea Breeze, Kucuk Erenkoy will be holding a table top sale – mid-day to 4pm in aid of the Vadili Dogs.
14th August – Tuesday	The Kaya Palazzo Hotel, Alsancak will be having a BBQ with free wine, beer and soft drinks, plus a DJ, in support of CESV (112).  6.30pm to 9pm.  Tickets 100TL per person can be reserved by contacting Delia on 0548 839 4007 or email deliarushbrooke@hotmail.com.  Collection points for tickets will be confirmed later.   All monies will be donated to CESV.

11th September – Tuesday	Best Seller, Karakum will be having a book signing of Through the Third Eye by Olcay Akdeniz from 1pm.   A very enjoyable book.
13th September – Thursday	RBL will be having an Alternative Quiz and Race Night at The Fez, Catalkoy at 7.30pm with chicken and chips supper – price tbc.  The event will be in aid of the Poppy Appeal.
15th September – Saturday SORRY – THIS IS NOW CANCELLED	The King Is Back 2018 World Tour, an international Las Vegas style Elvis show, with 10 musicians and vocalists on stage, plus the incomparable Ben Portsmouth as Elvis.   This will be staged at Girne Amphitheatre.  An event not to be missed.  In aid of the Civil Emergency Service Volunteers (CESV).
15th September – Saturday	British Residents Society – Blood Donor Day at Dr Akcicek Hospital, Girne from 10am.  If you are able to give blood please try to attend.
19th September – Wednesday	Supper Club at the Colony Garden featuring The Bellevilles with a dedicated Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons show.  The event is in aid of the Civil Emergency Service Volunteers (CESV).  7pm Welcome cocktail. followed by 3 course set meal with vegetarian option, and all local drinks plus imported labels from 7.30 – midnight.  Tickets cost £55 per person and will be available last week of August.  Tickets can be reserved by calling Laurence on 0533 879 6892 or emailing floydlaurence@googlemail.com …tables seat a maximum of 12, but a reservation of 10 will secure.  More information later.
