We were delighted to receive an email from Malcolm Mitcheson telling us about the outcome of the Auction Day at Jessic Bar and Restaurant in Karsiyaka on Tuesday 22nd May and we are sharing this great news with our readers.
Hi Chris
Great news from Karsiyaka!
Our Auction Day at Jessic Bar and Restaurant in Karsiyaka on Tuesday 22nd May was a huge success, and over 10,000 tl was raised on the day for the Karsiyaka Village Primary School project. This takes our grand total to over 35,000 tl in just 6 months.
The local community turned out in force to help Mush and his team at Jessic’s with their initiative to improve facilities for local school children. Other local businesses helped out too, with raffle donations from Sparks DIY and Amore Tanning and Beauty centre.

The combined takings from the Auction, Raffle, and ‘Make an Offer’ stall, alongside regular Friday afternoon ‘Irish Bingo’ sessions, mean that we can complete the refurbishing and equipping of the interactive media/library room at the school, and provide of lots of English language books to help Karsiyaka village children with their studies.
We’ll be continuing our fundraising for the school with the ‘Jessic Friends of Karsiyaka School Children Society’, and we will keep you updated about our upcoming plans.
Thanks again for your help in publicising our event; your support is very much appreciated!
Kind regards
Malcolm
