We recently wrote an article advertising the fact that Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan were arranging a beach cleaning event today 8th April 2018 on the beach close to the Korineum Golf Club near Esentepe.
We were amazed to see the pictures they have sent of the results of their efforts to collect rubbish left by people, the wind and the sea which filled 60 bags. Can you imagine for every mile of coastline in North Cyprus how much rubbish there could be just waiting for collection?
It is good that people and organisations care and give up their time with great enthusiasm to care for our environment and make it safe for the next visitors arriving on the beach to enjoy our lovely island.
Well done Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan members and families, you can be justifiably proud of your hard work and success as part of your ongoing Beach Clean Up Project.
