It is not long now before this year’s 8th Esentepe Fun Run and Ramble which takes place on Sunday 15th April.
This has become a very popular annual event so there are bound to be crowds flocking to Esentepe either to take part or as onlookers for this event.
It is a time to remember George Roper who instigated the Esentepe Fun Run in 2011, George sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2012, but the event continues in his memory. He would be so proud of the way in which it has grown and been so successful with the huge amounts which the event now raises for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).
Following is some useful information for those wishing to take part. You can run, walk, stroll or ramble, the choice is yours but taking part if you are able is the main object. There are also those who like to attend the event to cheer the others on and to generally be a part of this fundraising event.
The event will start and finish at Sea Magic Park 2, Esentepe. As well as the usual 2k, 5k, and 8k distances, this year there is an additional Ladies 5k race.

10.30am 8k race presentations
10.40am 2k race starts
11.00am Ladies 5k race starts
11.15am General 5k race starts
11.30am 2k race presentations
12.00noon 5k Ladies race presentations
12.30pm 5k General race presentations

Medals will be presented to all entrants.
Make a note in your diary for a really good day out. There will be stalls, food and drink and you are welcome to bring your dog along provided it is kept on a lead.
