North Cyprus Events Calendar from 16th June 2017

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com. The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information to be included by Wednesday pm each week.

In addition, if you register as a member of northcyprusforum.net, your events can be included in the members’ calendar.

Blakes Lounge Bar and Bistro will be having a weekly Sunday Brunch event with music by saxophonist Ivan Lavrentev from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. To book a table call 0548 839 4007.
First Tuesday of the month – Men’s Breakfast Meeting – 8.30-10.00am – Uncle Sam’s, Dogankoy (upstairs) … All men are welcome to enjoy just a coffee or a full breakfast (English, Turkish, American) while having the opportunity to discuss or question any aspect of the Christian faith – or just to listen. The Food Lodge, Catalkoy will be having a Moroccan Sunday Lunch every week from 21^st May … 1pm to 4pm … Choice of starters and main course … 45TL per person.
17^th June – Saturday	The Black Olive Cafe presents “Glastonvicki”…. Fun day for all with lots of music.
17^th June – Saturday	Frozen Cypriots get-together at Cafe Deniz, Karakum from 1pm to 6pm … Everyone welcome.
19^th June – Monday Note – a week earlier than usual	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services (112) will be holding their monthly 112 Quiz at Acmenya Restaurant, Alsancak, starting at 7.30pm … A chicken or vegetarian supper is included for 25TL per person. Please reserve your places by calling 0533 840 7834. Due to the Bayram holiday the quiz has been brought forward by one week, so hope you can still make it.
21^st June – Wednesday	Supper Club event at the Colony Garden … featuring the Funky Weekend Show who will deliver a really up tempo show and get you dancing right from the start … 3 course meal with new menu, welcome cocktail, and all drinks including imported spirits from 7.30pm to midnight … Ticket prices have been held for 4th year running at £55 per person … The event will be in aid of CESV (Civil Emergency Service Volunteers). Tickets available from Friday 19^th May from The Colony reception, DVD shop Catalkoy and Best Seller Bookshop Alsancak. 21^st June – Wednesday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services (112) will be having their Afternoon Tea and Talk at the Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak, starting at 3pm … The speaker will be David Brown who will be talking about ‘The changing face of the British Residents’ Society’…. 22^nd June – Thursday	Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 8pm you can enjoy Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) …. 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available…….. 22^nd to 24^th June	The 8th International Lapta Tourism Festival will be opened by Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün on 22 June at 20:00 … Various dance shows and concerts will take place at the festival, which has the theme, ‘Echo of the Nature’ … Folk dance teams from Turkey, Macedonia and Poland will participate in the festival.

9^th July – Sunday	Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan will be holding an auction and BBQ day at Jessics Bar and Restaurant in Karsiyaka from 1pm … This will be a fun afternoon with good food, great auction bargains, raffle, plus entertainment by “Peter Swings” … The event is in aid of Yesilyurt Special Needs School which will receive 100% of money raised.
