Kings Bowling on Sunday 14 May 2017 held the first ever Geek Festival in the TRNC at their Bowling venue.
They had very kindly offered Tulips the chance to run a Tombola stall at the event to raise much needed funds for the Association.
Tulips volunteers had worked extremely hard leading up to the event to get the massive amount of prizes need to run the stall from 11am to 8pm and they were rewarded by tremendous support from individuals and companies who donated items as varied as pencils to bars of soap, from chocolates to watches. The list of donors was endless and we would just like to thank each and everyone of them for their generosity in supplying the prizes.
We would also like to thank our team of volunteers who manned the stall throughout the day with such enthusiasm and good humour.
We raised a fantastic 2,045.50 TL in total and when you think each go was only 5TL, the amount was amazing. So thank you to everyone who bought tickets and supported us.
So, finally, our thanks must go to the Geek Festival Team and Kings Bowling for allowing us to be part of their very first Geek Festival.
