We were shocked to hear the sad news of the passing of Catherine Jackson.  We didn’t know her well but when our paths did cross she was always so friendly and always smiling.

Catherine’s friend, Liz Simpson, has told us that Catherine died on 14th February of an intracerebral  haemorrhage, it was very sudden as she had not been ill.catherine-jackson

The funeral is to be held at Lapta Cemetery on Monday 20th February at 11.30am Ged, Catherine’s husband, has asked that people wear bright clothes with a touch of tartan if possible, no flowers but a collection on behalf of Tulips will be taken.  Following the funeral there will be a celebration of Catherine’s life at the Wild Duck in Lapta.

Liz had some nice words to say about Catherine :

“She enjoyed life to the full with a wicked sense of humour. She had many friends in North Cyprus and enjoyed line dancing and performed many times at village fetes. She loved being outside and  enjoyed many hours in her garden. She disliked cooking and always said a kitchen was a waste of a good room. She was a lovely lady and will be missed by everyone who knew her.  She will never be forgotten, she touched so many lives with her Scottish wit. She was my best friend and her passing has left a huge gap in my life”.

Cyprusscene.com send condolences to Ged and family for their sad loss.

Rest in Peace Catherine
