Tulips Thank You to Neil Diamond Tribute
Act and the World Barrow Rally in Ozanköy

We are delighted to receive and be able to publish this letter of thanks and appreciation from Sue Tilt and Carole King from Help Those With Cancer Association (Tulips).
“Neil Diamond Tribute Act in aid of Tulips/HTWCA and World Barrow Rally
We would like to give a huge thank you to the very successful Jeff Phillips aka Neil Diamond who performed for free in aid of Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association at the Bollywood Restaurant, Karakum on the 18th and 19th September and also at the Punjab Restaurant, Lapta on the 22nd and 25th September.
The amount raised from all 4 events was a staggering 5,766TL and we would like to thank the following for supporting these events and helping to make them so successful:
The management of both Bollywood and Punjab Restaurants who donated money from all meals sold and provided a couple of prizes.
Our sponsors, Mediterranean Garden Centre, Glamour Fairy, Pamper Yourself Beauty Salon, Funky Divaz Hair Salon, Wine Up (Alsancak) and Kar Kot.
And lastly, all the people who went along to support the events and bought raffle tickets and meals, you are all wonderful.
David Miller from Ozanköy organised a World Barrow Championship to raise funds for both Tulips and also The Masons.
The object of the event was to take a decorated Barrow around a pre-designated course, which covered lots of bars. An alcoholic drink had to be drunk at each bar otherwise the participant would be fined, there were lots of other fines imposed too, just to make the event successful and go with a swing.

Well it was certainly that as an amazing 3,000TL was raised on the day and Tulips received 2,000TL of that amount.
A massive thank you to David Miller and all the participants who really entered into the spirit (literally!) of the event and raised this great amount.
