Özersay in London
Turkish Cypriot negotiator Kudret Özersay has gone to London, at the invitation of UK Minister for EU Affairs David Lidington, to discuss the Cyprus negotiation process. Özersay will also meet with authorities of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and give a conference at London School of Economics about the Turkish Cypriots’ vision for the solution and proposals put forth during the negotiation process.
President Eroğlu informs Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan regarding negotiation process
President Eroğlu who completed his contacts in Turkey and returned to the island evaluated his meeting held in Turkey with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Eroğlu said that he informed Turkish PM Erdoğan regarding the negotiation process in Cyprus. Stating that the Greek Cypriot side has great expectations especially on the issue of Varosha, President Eroğlu said that he found the opportunity to discuss these issues with Turkish PM Erdoğan.
Bi-Communal Sea Fair was organized in Gazimağusa
A bi-communal sea fair was organized in Gazimağusa on Sunday (8th June). Within the framework of the bi-communal sea fair, a religious ceremony at Ay Ikserinos Church and a show of whirling dervishes were performed at Bugday Mosque.
