North Cyprus – The Big Event –

Bon Giovi

By Margaret Sheard

If you want entertainment, North Cyprus has it with a host of regular artists and all manner of different types of events for the pleasure of the residents and tourists alike.  Not only this but we would like to remind our readers that the time is fast approaching for the big BIG EVENT of the year when on Saturday 12th JBon Gioviuly, the Girne Amphitheatre will be delighted to welcome Bon Giovi from the UK which is the premier look-alike and sound-alike Tribute to the New Jersey Rockers – Bon Jovi.  They are sure to give you ‘One Wild Night’ to get Girne rocking for the two charities being supported that night.

We have been supplied with information about the concert, the performers, the sponsors and much more about this spectacular evening here in North Cyprus.  We feel now is the right time to give this concert a big boost as it is such an important event for North Cyprus.

Well known English Author and owner of Martina Cole’s Bestseller Bookstores based in Alsancak and Karakum is known for her charitable support here in North Cyprus and is leading the way supporting and sponsoring the event organised by All Stars Agency Promotions Cyprus in aid of The Blind Association and Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).

Martina Cole’s Best seller Bookstores stepped up to the mark to be the first leading sponsor of the event and is joined by Almond Holiday Village, North Cove Estates, Hetim Travel, Café George and Quickline Cosmetics in sponsoring what is being billed as the greatest music event this year in North Cyprus.

The event organised by North Cyprus’ first entertainment agency, All Stars Agency Promotions will be held at Girne Ampitheatre on All Stars logoSaturday 12th July 2014. Headed by Bon Giovi, direct from the UK, they are  the premier look-alike and sound-alike Tribute to the New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi. With over ten years touring experience as a band, and nearly 4 times that combined from individual members, this act is without compromise one of the best acts on the circuit today. Performing all the greatest Bon Jovi tracks such as Bad Medicine, Lay Your Hands on Me, Always  they are sure to give you ‘One Wild Night’  to get Girne rocking for the two charities that night.

In support of the headliners and hot on the heels of last year’s North Cyprus young music sensation Foreign Nationals, will be the new youth line up The Renegades, playing again a very different genre of music (Indie Rock), have developed a professional sound far advanced for their age, the group consists of 2 English boys (James Gray, Rhythm Guitar & Vocals, Logan Sanger-Sharps lead guitar), a Cypriot (Tolga Guryel on drums) and an English girl (Scarlet Goodwin) on bass. Be ready to be amazed with tThe Renegadesheir expertise and experience beyond their age, the lively, energetic four piece band are sure to start the evening off with a wake-up call!

Why have one support band when you can have two? The second band of the evening comes in the form of Snakebite, a much long awaited band by many, involving North Cyprus’s first ever legal entertainer Barry Snakes.  Snakebite are a necessary breath of fresh air to the North Cyprus music scene maintaining a depth and quality of sound that won’t go unnoticed. Snakebite is the pinnacle of diversity in their make-up and style bringing together four talented musicans from four very different influences that will take your breath away.  Lead guitar and vocals Barry Snakes needs no introduction but the remainder of the band all make their mark in their own right, Ed Sezener on guitar and backing vocals, Adem Oznedim on bass guitar and James Gray on drums these four playing rock from the 70’s to present day will appeal to all ages and without doubt warm you up for Bon Giovi.

With three bands of different styles giving it all for two charities in one night, this really is a night not to be missed!!  All proceeds from the event will be donated 80% to The Blind Association and 20% to Help those with Cancer Association (Tulips).

Tickets for the event are now on sale costing 50TL and can be purchased from: Martina Cole’s Bestseller Bookstores Alsancak and Karakum, The Almond Holiday Village, The Wild Duck Karsiyaka, J.K.’s Bar Lapta, Baroosh Alsancak, The Glamour Fairy and Whiskey & Wine (Alsancak), The Fez Catalkoy and DVD Shop Catalkoy and also from Café George in Girne.  Ticket delivery service can also be arranged by emailing
