Apologies there was no Events Calendar last week due to being away on holiday.

From 30th September – Mondays and Tuesdays41. The Kibris Line Dancers The Kibris Liners will be resuming their line dancing classes at the Simena Club Hotel, Kyrenia, 10.30am to 12.30pm… ..Mondays – Beginners. .Tuesdays – Beginners/Improvers. .5TL per person per class and 10TL per year membership. 
4th October – FridayRBLOlive Press Flat Green Bowling The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, will be holding a Beetle Drive  at the Olive Press Bowling Club starting at 7.30pm. Entry fee is 5TL per person with all proceeds donated to the Poppy Appeal.  The Bowls Club full menu will be available beforehand for those wishing to have a meal. .Teams of 4 should be booked with Brian Thomas on 0533 841 1882 or email and Brian will be explaining how the team game is played prior to starting the Beetle Drive. 
4th October – FridayBellapais Abbey garden, a place of mystery and romance There will be a cello recital at Bellapais Abbey which is  part of the Bellapais Music Festival.
4th October – FridaySt Andrews Church Centenary - Feature image St Andrew’s Church, Kyrenia will be holding their Centenary Dinner Dance at the Deniz Kizi Beach Restaurant starting at 7.30pm.Entertainment will be by Christina plus Werner and his Steam Machine.  The cost of tickets is 55TL and reservations can be made by calling 0542 855 8724..There will be a self service Meze followed by a main course of Chicken, Beef or Vegetarian meal served at the table. There will also be self service desserts to complete your evening’s enjoyment. 
5th October – SaturdayTFR New The Foreign Residents in the TRNC (TFR) will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the Silver Rocks Restaurant in Lapta at 11.30am.  There will be a lunch following the meeting 25TL for members and 35TL for guests.  Reservations by 30th September – contact Horst Gutowski on 0533 845 0923.   In order to vote at the AGM members must have up to date membership which can be renewed at the Friday get-together at Sea Point in Lapta 4pm to 6pm. 
From 8th October. .Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays...Phoenix Line Dance Club logo The Phoenix Line Dance Club  will be re-starting their line dance classes…………..Tuesdays – Açmenya Restaurant, Alsancak – 11am to 1pm – Improver/Intermediate Level...Wednesdays – Korineum Golf & Beach Resort, Esentepe – 11.30am to 1.30pm  –  Beginner/Improver Level... Thursdays – Açmenya Restaurant, Alsancak – 10.30am to 12.30pm – Beginners Level.

8th October – TuesdayNCCCT logo NCCCT will be holding their monthly coffee morning  at the Merit Park Hotel in Karaoğlanoğlu.  This should be a lovely venue for this very popular event.. 
8th October – TuesdayBlack Olive logo The Black Olive Cafe/Studio.  Karen will be holding a Zumba class at 9am.  The money taken will be to sponsor Tony Woods together with a donation from a coffee and cake morning following the Zumba class.  Fatma Fancies will be donating a scrumptious chocolate cake for the raffle. For further information contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133 or email .
9th October – WednesdayKar new sml Kyrenia Animal Rescue will be holding an Autumn Lunch at 1pm at Le Jardin Restaurant, Catalkoy.  Tickets 35TL can be obtained from the KAR stall at Lambousa Saturday market or from their office in Karakum. For further details, the KAR office number is 0533 869 4098.
9th October – WednesdayFriends of the TRNC Emergency Services Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be having their monthly TeaTalk at the Mountain View Hotel at 3pm.  The speaker will be James Butler with “Amusing Anecdotes in the life of a Dental Technician”.  James will also be bringing his guitar and a “dental friend”.  Come along for a great afternoon’s entertainment, with an interesting talk, raffle and Mike’s goodie bag, as well as a delicious afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes and tea/coffee. .To book please call Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483 .
10th October – ThursdayChildren in need foundation The Children in Need Foundation will be holding their 2013 Ball at the Cratos Hotel, Catalkoy starting at 7.30pm, drinks available to 11.45pm.  Tickets are 100TL per person to include a set 3-course dinner and local drinks.  Kai Mckenzie will be entertaining with his Michael Buble Tribute act.  Dress code – black tie or lounge suit.   Tickets will be available from 16th September at The Property Centre in Alsancak and the DVD shop in Catalkoy.   Alternatively tickets and further information can be obtained from Laurence Floyd 0533 879 6892 or Mally Torris 0533 853 9499

21st October – MondayNCCCT logo NCCCT Bingo at the Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm.  The jackpot was won last time so there will be a new jackpot commencing at 700TL (50 numbers).  35TL for a book of bingo sheets and a chance of a mini Mars or Snickers Bar for winning lines or a house and of course there is the free raffle as well.   Come along and have a nice Fish & Chip meal and an enjoyable evening’s bingo with Carole and Mike. For further information contact Carole Lloyd on 0533 8600357

25th October – FridaySOS Childrens Villages 2 Faure’s Requiem at Bellapais Abbey at 8pm with the Lefkoșa Municipality Orchestra and the Kyrenia Chamber Choir.  Programmes for admission can be obtained from Bridget Kerr by contacting 0533 848 6038 The event is in aid of the SOS Children’s Village.
26th October – SaturdayBritish Residents BRS Blood Donor Day.  10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital. 3 months must elapse between donations. .

29th October – TuesdayQuill Pen The Girne Writers Guild is presenting “Evening of Radio Nostalgia” at Tervetuloa Restaurant, Alsancak starting at 8pm.. 
2nd November – SaturdayRBL Logo The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball will be at the Vuni Palace Hotel, Karakum starting at 7pm.  4-course meal with unlimited local drinks from 7.30pm to midnight. Tickets 110TL for members and 120TL non-members available from the RBL stall at Lambousa Saturday market, to reserve phone 0533 859 2451.  Dress code : Black tie/lounge suits.   There will be music by the Rock and Roll Rebels plus a late night disco with DJ Max and a raffle and auction will also take place during the evening. A very popular event, so don’t delay in reserving tickets. .

9th November – SaturdayKar new sml Bonfire Night at Lambousa Market site.  Gates open at 5pm.  The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks will be around 7.30pm (to be confirmed by the Fire Service).  Food and drink will be available throughout the evening and there will be games, stalls and entertainment for all..All proceeds from the games and stalls will be donated to Kyrenia Animal Rescue.Entrance is by advance tickets bought at Lambousa Market – 12.50TL for adults and 10TL for children.  Or on the night entrance is 15TL.There will be plenty of parking available..For more information please telephone 0533 8624662
9th November – SaturdayRBL Logo The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Walk will start and finish at JK’s in Lapta, starting at 11am.  The route of 5km and 10km will include the new coastal footpath, by kind permission of the Lapta Belediyesi.  The event is being sponsored by JK’s and Dağli Sigorta.  Registration and sponsorship forms can be obtained from the RBL stall at Lambousa Market or from the Courtyard Inn, Karakum. .
10th November – SundayRBL Logo Remembrance Sunday at the Old British Cemetery followed by lunch at The Ship Inn.    More details later. .
