112 Friendship Ball

The annual ball organised by the Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services was held on Thursday 11th April at The Rocks Hotel in Girne and this year the theme for the event was “Friendship”. The Ballroom looked lovely with well decorated tables and seating and there was a big screen presentation in the background showing clips from some of the TV series “Friends”

There were 150 guests at the event which was sponsored by Zirve Insurance and Esta Insurance. There was a tombola with a lovely range of prizes and, as last year, envelopes on the tables for contributions which at the end would be 50% of the total proceeds to the person whose envelope was drawn and 50% to the charity.

The pianist from the Rocks, Hasan, played nice background music while everyone was eating which gave everyone a chance to have a chat while enjoying their meal and this was followed by Christine a singer from the south who had a very wide range of songs to entertain the audience, then for the rest of the evening there was the Niyal Ozturk Trio who gave the guests great music to dance to.
