The NCCCT held their first Coffee Morning of the year on Tuesday 8th January at the Savoy Ottoman Palace Hotel and raised 1775TL. A brilliant result so early in the year.

The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch held a Quiz Night on Monday 14th January at the Deniz Kizi Hotel. 80 people attended and the amount of 375TL was raised for RBL.

The Grand Draw of the Golden Heart Raffle, which has been running since last October in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips), was held at St Andrews Church Hall on Friday 11th January and the result was a staggering 15,000TL raised. Carole and Sue were over the moon and would like to thank all of their Sponsors and supporters for helping them to achieve this huge amount.

The Olive Press in Lapta held a fundraising event in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) on Friday 18th January and the result, apart from being a great night, was 1000TL for the charity. Carole and Sue would like to extend their thanks to the

Olive Press Flat Green Bowling and the people who were so generous.

The new wing at Girne State Hospital opened on Tuesday 15th January and thanks are extended to all of the people and organisations who generously donated funds to achieve this superb addition to the hospital.
