Tulips Golden Heart Raffle – Latest

Time is getting closer now to the prize draw  Golden Heart Raffle  which has been set up to  raise more donations for Help Those With Cancer Association – Tulips here in North Cyprus.  Those Golden Hearted girls, Carole King and Sue Tilt have been hard at work with their helpers and report that so far they have sold over 3,000TL worth of raffle tickets and with the great selection of prizes they are hoping to sell many more. Come on folks, the prize drawer is still some weeks away and this is an ideal opportunity to perhaps win yourself a New Year’s present as well as donating to a great cause. Those great girls Carole and Sue had the following to say of this event.

“We launched this year’s Raffle on the 1st October, which is to be drawn the second week of January 2013. This year we are going for quality, not just quantity and the top prize is worth over 1,000TL and the second prize over 900TL. We would like to thank our sponsors for their kind and generous help and we would also like to thank Multimax, who again this year are sponsoring our tickets and paying for all the printing costs, they have also given us 5 prizes as well. These people and organisations are real “Stars” and we are so delighted they want to help us!

From the 1 October tickets have been sold at the same price as last year,  5TL each,  and as well as Sue and myself selling, at the moment they will be available in the following outlets:

Best Sellers Book Store – Karakum

Best Sellers Book Store – Alsancak

Ozanköy Book Shop – Ozanköy

St Andrews Church Hall, John Dyer – Girne

Sandy & Yusuf – Chateau Lambousa Market on Saturday and The Lodge Market on a Sunday

Steve the Book – Chateau Lambousa Market on Saturday.

We are hoping, with fingers crossed that we will be able to improve on the 14,000TL we raised last year, a big target for us, but in the current climate with the Association struggling so hard to raise funds, we are really hoping that people will put their hands in their pockets and support us as much as they can and in the process win a fabulous prize.
