Following the Kyrenia Remembrance Service and lunch on the 12th November, the Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, had arranged a visit to Wayne’s Keep Cemetery on the following day (13th November) for the veterans and others who wished to attend.

Children growing up have a natural curiosity to learn about things in their environment, the toddler hardly able to walk will explore the contents of all things that are closed, open drawers and bring everything out, later kids will destroy their toys to see what is inside.

On Saturday 11th November I was invited to Bogazkőy picnic area to the south of Girne where the North Cyprus Russian Speaking Association had a special day celebrating Scarlet Day or Unity Day so I went there with my camera crew for my Vox Pop programme on BRT 2 TV and interviewed many guests.

The Cyprus weather was good to us for the 12th November Remembrance Service at the Old British Cemetery in Kyrenia. The sun shone down on residents and visitors attending, together with the veterans who had made the long journey to pay their respects to their fallen comrades during the Cyprus Emergency 1955 -59.
