The Cyprus Herbarium and Natural History Museum, has signed an agreement with the Natural History Museum of Vienna, to carry out a joint project for the identification and classification of the Cyprus Fauna.
According to the press information released by the Near East University, the Deputy Director of the Cyprus Herbarium and Natural History Museum Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Özden Fuller visited the Natural History Museum of Vienna in Austria recently and conducted a collaborative study with scientists on Entomology collections at the Department of Entomology.
Ecologist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Özden Fuller stated that the visit was very useful and that the Vienna Museum of Natural History had collections of thousands of living specimens from all over the world. Stating that they aim to start a joint 3-year scientific research project with the Natural History Museum of Vienna from January 2020, Fuller emphasized that they started to conduct field studies for the project and that they envisaged mutual visits from both natural museums during the project.
