Güngördü welcomed Girne Universal Music Association

Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü, welcomed the President of the Board of Directors of the Girne Universal Music Association, Yilmaz Taner.

Mayor Güngördü talked about the work of the Municipality in respect of  culture and art. Güngördü wished success and stated that they would follow the activities of the newly established association with interest and that they would support wherever possible.

Pianist Yılmaz Taner gave information about the formation of the association and also about the contemporary polyphonic music children and adult choir established under the roof of the association. Yilmaz Taner, said that close to 50 members of the adult choir began to work in February and the association was registered in June. Taner, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education has established a 53-person choir and said that the work began two weeks ago, and they want to work in cooperation with the Municipality.
