For those travelling from North Cyprus you may well fly from Ercan to the new Istanbul airport and then join another flight to wherever you wish to go.
One of our CyprusScene readers, Jan Tomczyk has sent us some amazing pictures, as shown here, of this huge terminal building which unlike other airport terminals around the world, does not yet seem to have masses of people surging through it.
Clearly the capacity of the new Istanbul Airport is massive and Jan made a few comments of his impressions as under:
“The terminal is enormous which means you will have to walk halfway across Turkey to get to your departure gate.”
“There are many new electric wheelchairs but it might take them 1 hour to get one to the plane.”
