We are pleased to give below news received from the Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch of welfare assistance and forthcoming events.

Wheelchairs and Walking Frames for use

The branch has 2 wheelchairs and 2 walking frames, provided free of charge, for use by its members, ex-service personnel, and their families specifically for short term but not for any specific long term disability.

Royal British Legion: Veterans Hearing Fund

The Veterans Hearing Fund (VHF) is run by the Royal British Legion (RBL), is a Government-financed fund that provides support to veterans who acquired hearing loss during their service.  It is open to those who have a wellbeing need that cannot be met through statutory services (such as the NHS).  VHF may fund hearing aids, peripherals or therapies (e.g. lip reading).

Afternoon Tea at Meryems Hotel, Catalkoy

The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, invite you to Afternoon Tea at Meryems Hotel, Catalkoy, on Thursday 22nd November, starting at 2pm.  The event is a celebration of the WW1 centenary 1918-2018.

An Evening of Fun and Laughter at The Olive Press

Join Martin & Anne for an evening of entertainment on Monday 26th November at The Olive Press Bowls Club. Martin is hosting his Spot The Intro Quiz on our behalf. It doesn’t really matter if you are good or bad at music, what matters is we raise as much money as we possibly can with this month being the international month of Remembrance.

Entry per person is just 10TL (£1.30).

On the night you will even have the option of buying the answers…so no excuses for not coming along!!!!

Music from the Movies 

Cyprus Chamber Orchestra, The Regimental Band of the Scots Guards, and the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion of the Scots Guards will be performing at the Ledra Palace Hotel Ballroom on Friday 30th November at 8.30pm.   Entrance is free but you must register.
