Girne Municipalities project to improve the infrastructure, environmental and landscape in Zeytinlik Cemetery continues with water fountains, parking lots, inner roads, pavements and landscaping work being completed. Benches will also to be placed in order to accommodate visitors to the cemetery and the cemetery building will also be renovated.
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü said the cemetery has been neglected for years and following similar upgrades to the Karaoğlanoğlu and Ozanköy cemeteries, people will no longer have to carry out burial procedures and visits under difficult conditions and in future can do so in comfortable conditions and a more suitable environment.
