In cooperation with Girne Municipality and the International Federation of Down Syndrome, a Beach Football Festival will be held on Monday, 6th August at 18:00.
The event will be held at Kervansaray Beach with the slogan “We’ve Got You Covered We Are Aware”. Famous footballers from Turkey will play football with children with Down Syndrome. Celebrities are among the famous footballers who will participate, with the name of Karma; including Ergün Penbe, Hakan Unsal, Emre Aşık, Ahmet Dursun, Serhat Akın, Ibrahim Yattara, Kadir Caglar, Murat Erdoğan and Faruk Atalay.
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü said that they are ready to give any kind of support for individuals with Down Syndrome to continue their lives comfortably, to socialize and to be in the place they deserve in society. Nidai Güngördü stated that everyone is invited to the Beach Football Festival to be held in the form of social awareness and entertainment at the same time.
