Girne Municipality cleans street rainwater drains

The Municipality of Girne has been cleaning street rainwater drains to prevent clogging and bad odour occurring.

Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü made a statement asking that garbage is not thrown in the streets which has a negative impact on the city’s life and is damaging to the environment.

Materials which may result in the clogging of the street drains should not be discarded in the streets.  Mayor Güngördü stated that the cleaning work has been done and waste materials removed to avoid any problems later when rain occurs.
