Geçitkale striker Ibrahim Çelik returned to haunt his old Club Tatlısu, scoring 3 of his teams 5 goals as once again they were taken to the cleaners.

Sunday April 8 : BTM League Red Group : Tatlısu Raif Rauf Denktas Stadi.

On a beautiful sunny but mild Sunday lunchtime, this “Derby” match attracted a good size crowd, with around 150 spectators, the majority from Geçitkale attending the game.

In a very competitive first half Geçtikale were the more creative team, but seemed to have left their shooting boots at home as they caused little trouble to home goalkeeper Kurşat.

Tatlısu themselves would live to regret not taking advantage of three first half chances. Two chances fell to Talha who twice was thwarted by brave goalkeeping by Geçitkale’s Gürcan who twice dived at the feet of the Tatlısu winger. The other Tatlısu chance fell to Haci Murat Gök in the last minute of the first half but after being set up by Musa he shot wide from a good position.

Tatlısu were punished for those missed chances as in injury time of the first halk Geçitkale broke quickly, Ibrahim Çelik went pass Barış and looked certain to score but was denied by a great last ditched tackle by Hakan who deflected “Ibo”s effort for a corner. From that resulting corner taken by Mustafa, IBRAHIM ÇELİK was not to be denied as he flicked in the cross at the near post. HALF TIME SCORE : 0-1

The game was effectively ended as a contest when Geçitkale scored their second goal in the 53 minute through controversial circumstances. Tatlısu Asıl sustained a head injury and the referee stopped play, with Tatlısu in control of the ball. When the match restarted Tatlısu expected the referee to give them the ball, instead he gave the ball to Geçitkale Kemal who sent a long ball over to the left to MUSTAFA AKGÖL who went through a non existent defence to score, Tatlısu appealed but to no avail that the advantage should have been in their favour. 0-2

With Tatlısu defender Hakan off for treatment after a collision with Ibrahim Çelik, Geçitkale scored again in the 60thh minute Ali Demiröğlu broke down the right crossed to IBRAHİM ÇELİK to score easily. 0-3

Hakan never returned and was replaced by Tatlısu’s only replacement 15 year old Burak Çil.

Tatlısu’s heads had now dropped Geçıtkale scored a fourth goal in the 68th minutes. Anil Hakligök overlapping down the left sent in a cross that Ali Demiroğlu got in a close range header at the near post, only to see Kurşat produce a brilliant point range save, the loose ball fell to MEHMET ÇAVUŞ to slot home. 0-4

83 minutes it was 5-0, following a Anil Hakligök corner from the right which was headed at the far post back across goal for IBRAHİM ÇELİK to prod home. FULL TIME SCORE : 0-5

SUMMING UP : What can you say another hammering for Tatlısu, there is no hope for them to avoid relegation to the BTM League 2. All you want for Tatlısu is that they can at least know what it is like to taste victory this season, thats why I keep going to watch them, I want to be there if it ever happens. They have no Coach, only one on the bench as a replacement, its tragic to see the Club like this as they have some decent footballers in the side. They are rudderless, without hope without a clue, they must get this season over with and start again . Kurşat, Hakan, Turgay, Talha, and Halıl deserve better.

IBRAHİM ÇELİK was easy the “Man of the Match’ he looked really sharp, its a shame he is not playing for Tatlısu, but at least he showed respect to his old Club by not celebrating his goals.

As well as Ibrahim Geçıtkale have some good players Goalkeeper Gürcan, Mehmet Çavus ,Mustafa Akgöl, Mehmet Özbilen, Anıl Hakligök and Murat Elçıl. Led by Coach Cemal Çavuş they have a great team spirit, there should have no problem for them regaining their K-Pet League 1 status, even though it will be through the “Play Offs”.
