Sila And Seymen Emerged Champions In The TRNC
Under 17 Badminton Championships

The Under 17 TRNC Badminton Championship was held at the Ataturk Sports Centre in Lefkosa on 28th January 2018.
The Championship started at 11am and ended at 3pm, in which 21 matches were played in 5 categories. Following the day long tough matches, Seymen G. Deniz , in the boys’ and Sıla Haciarif in the girls’ section, both representing the Near East University, emerged as the champions.
The small number of the badminton enthusiasts, made up of mostly the families and friends of the contestants, enjoyed the day long matches.
Mr. Fırat Deniz, the President of the TRNC Badminton Federation thanked the spectators, players, organisers and the coaches of the teams, for their wholehearted support to the game of Badminton. He expressed his hope for further advancement of the young players in the field of sports in future.
