A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Interior Minister, Kutlu Evren, at Girne Municipality to find solutions to the flooding issue.
In connection with the problems experienced from torrential rains, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Interior, Kutlu Evren, in order to find solutions to the flooding in Kyrenia. Girne Municipality Mayor, Nidai Güngördü, Girne District Governor, Mustafa Aysen, Kyrenia District Muhtarları and Municipality personnel attended the meeting held at the Girne Municipality offices.
At the meeting, the areas that have been damaged due to heavy rainfall were determined and the necessary precautions regarding the negativities experienced were discussed. At the end of the meeting, it was decided that water-courses should be cleaned and the work should be initiated in order to ensure the smooth flow of water by eliminating the negative effects of creeks and streams and to cooperate for border determination.
