North Cyprus : 7th Hisarkoy Orchid Festival

There are many festivals in North Cyprus and one of the first is to welcome the arrival of the orchid throughout the countryside..

There will be a traditional Orchid Festival in the Hisarköy area on 4^th and 5^th March which will start at 10am on the 4^th and close at 11pm on the 5^th.   During this event there will be walks to see the wild orchids and the flora and fauna of the area.

After the opening ceremony, visitors will be able to browse around the many stalls which will be selling organic produce and many other items.   In addition there will be folk dancing displays and other shows.  A festival fire will be lit which will add a lovely atmosphere to the occasion.

As soon as the timetable for this 2-day event is available we will publish this further information but in the meantime add the date to your diary for a day out to enjoy the heritage and culture of North Cyprus.
