Jay Wadhams Photographic Exhibition at
the Gardens of Irini, Bellapais
For those local readers who would like to spend some quality time to admire some fine photography in a delightful and fascinating location, then a visit to the Gardens of Irini in Bellapais from the 15th to 21st October is a must.
The visual drama and artistry of his photographs are born of a keen eye for line and form, structure and symmetry, as well as a life-long passion for natural and manmade beauty. This passion shines throughout Jay’s work and has attracted a wide audience around the world.
Jay studied photography at university in Auckland, New Zealand, before working for the Australian Newspaper in Sydney. His photographs have been published worldwide in a variety of media.
Some of the images to be exhibited are printed directly onto aluminium – an interesting process that creates very tactile images and actually makes them weatherproof (against sun/water etc) while others in the exhibition are printed directly onto acrylic glass. Jay likes to work in these mediums as he find it really brings out the structure and depth of the images.
Jay’s forthcoming exhibition at the famous Gardens of Irini in Bellapais is a selection of images from his journey, and spanning the last decade. The exhibition takes place from the 15-21st October with an opening night celebration from 4-7pm on the 15th.
