Kyrenia Animal Rescue Centre
counter vandalism
Over the years, break-ins, vandalism and poisonings have been a regular occurrence at the Kyrenia Animal Rescue Centre. These acts of despicable behaviour by members of the public have sometimes resulted in dogs being killed or injured and many being frightened as their compound gates have been broken open and they have had to run to safety.
To try to stop this happening again new security fencing has been erected, gates are now padlocked and thanks to a kind benefactor CCTV cameras have been installed.
Signs in English and Turkish are now in place around the entrances to the centre to give a warning that CCTV cameras are in use and hopefully this will act as a deterrent to any would be vandals.
There are some very sick individuals around- very sick
