Again Shrove Tuesday is coming and again our TFR-members Sonja and Latifa plan a nice event at their Food Lodge Bakery & Bistro in Catalköy. To remember The Food Lodge, the paradise for breads, cakes and sweets – click here!

Shrove Tuesday is also known as Pancake Day or Fat Tuesday by our British community members, simply as Faschingsdienstag (Carnival Tuesday) by the Germans.

This day is preceding the Christian Ash Wednesday (the first day of lent) and is celebrated in many countries by consuming pancakes.
