Blue Song Restaurant Event for Tulips
By Carole King and Sue Tilt…
Due to unfortunate circumstances during October the Blue Song Restaurant in Lapta were unable to support Tulips in their Pink Month, so the owner – Zafer Muhtaroğlu and the manager – Kerim Esat decided to go ahead with this event anyway and do it in December. A massive thanks to both as they gave 5TL from each meal sold on the night (80 meals).
We would like to thank the handsome Pete Murray and the lovely Katie B who gave their time for free to make the whole evening go with a joyful swing and the dance floor was very busy….
Our sponsors for this event for raffle prizes were: Iktisatbank, Stormax, Halos Trading, Home Doctor, Red Lobster, Tasha Atik, Chicago, Aysh Cafe & Bar, Jane & Robin Yates, Superclean, Aurianna, Hanan Handbag & Watch Shop, Mo Dogacan (Boot Fair). We thank all of these people for their generosity.
Phil Chappell who won the money box in the raffle then promptly sent it around the bar collecting loose change, collected 67TL and donated it all back to Tulips.
A massive thank you to Ali and Dervişe Asık of the Almond Holiday Village who not only donated 1,000TL on the night but also bid for raffle prize that had been returned for us to auction. The generosity of people like Ali and Dervişe is overwhelming……
We held a Table Top Quiz and the winning team – The Dingbats – won the box of 6 bottles of sparkling wine – Tony one of the team members, whose birthday it was, having been given the prize then donated it back for auction and bid himself to buy the bottles back. Awesome! Thank you so much Tony and your team.
We raised an amazing 3,518TL from the food, raffle and quiz, plus donations on the night, plus made a lot more friends.
We took our Cacao boxes of chocolates with us for people to buy if they wished and we sold 15 boxes on the night, which will have raised another 217.50tl for Tulips, as 50% of the 29TL these Tulips boxes cost, comes direct to us.
We also would like to thank everyone who attended the evening and so generously supported all of the events. Without all your support we could not raise the much needed funds for the Association. Thank you all so much.
