Raising money for TULIPS (Help Those with Cancer)

The events for the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2014 have now been completed and the proceeds have been presented to Raziye Kocaismail.  It was indeed a magnificent amount of 65,731TL.

The fund-raising continues through the year and we have been advised of another event to ensure Tulips can carry on with the work they are doing for cancer sufferers.

Sue Steel of the Esentepe Committee has given details of this event.

A BBQ with six mezes, live music and a disco will take place at The Tumba Bar in Esentepe on Sunday, 1 June 2014.

The event, which will start at 3pm and go on until late, will cost TL30 of which TL10 will go to Help Those with Cancer (Tulips).

This will be the fourth Rumba at the Tumba to take place and owner Şevki Nasipoğlu said: “I am happy to host the event because my customers enjoy the day and we always have a great time and also it gives us the chance to raise money for a good cause.”
