By Engin Dervişağa
Due to the Bayram Holiday break there has been a number of BRT2 TV transmission changes and tomorrow Wednesday 23rd Occtober at 11.00am on VOX POP, I will be bringing you two fascinating interviews and the first one will be with Batuhan Piatti who was born in 1975. His father is Turkish and his mother is Italian and he started to learn to cook with his mother at the age of 4-5 and then went on to study Turizm and Gastronomy in Florence in Italy and then wrote a number of books.
Batuhan is well known in Turkey and was one of the judges of Master Chef (the bad one) and this show reached 13 million viewers. He has just come to North Cyprus this summer to Kyrenia where he has been preparing Mediterranean Cuisine using the local products – olive oil, olives etc so do tune in and learn more of this fascinating Master Chef and his culinary skills.
The second part of my show includes a visit I made to the Lemar Market in Alsancak where I spoke to many stallholders including Sheila Davis an artist, Steve Sydnham at his book stall and Dawn Büyükertaş who as well as a talented entertainer also makes hand made jewellery.
This two part show will also be repeated on Sunday 27th October at 10.30 am.
