YILDIZ: “NATURAL GAS PIPELINE CROSSING FROM TURKEY IS THE MOST FEASIBLE ONE”

Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız evaluated the agenda and the energy sector.

Minister Yıldız made a statement on the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and Taner Yildizsaid: “As the tension between Israel and us is relieved, the way to energy projects will be opened. They are in the position of transferring the natural gas in an expensive or cheap way. I do not find the initiatives concerning LNG strange. But the investors in the area also know that the natural gas pipeline to be crossed from Turkey is the most feasible one. However the process which continues with compensations is not completed yet. But I believe that it will be completed”.

Stating that the pipeline crossing from Turkey will be for the benefit of Turkey, Israel and South Cyprus, Yıldız said: “If we say that this income is for the whole of Iraq, the same goes for Cyprus also.
