2013    Golden Heart Raffle in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips)  This year’s Golden Heart Raffle was launched on the 1st October 2012 and will be drawn in the second week of January 2013. The top prize is worth over 1,000TL and the second prize over 900TL. Tickets are 5TL each and can be purchased from the following outlets:-

Every Monday and Wednesday “Friends Line Dancers – The Punjab, Lapta. Beginners  Level on Wednesdays.   Times  10:00 am – 12:00 noon For more information   Tel:   0533 8215185 / 0542 8820366  
Every 1st and 3rd Monday in the month  From 7pm to 9pm at Riviera Bungalows, Karaoglanoglu, CESV (Civil Emergency Service Volunteers)  will be holding First Aid Training classes open to adults (14+).  Refreshments will be available at 5TL  If you want to learn some life-saving skills or brush up on previous skills then go along and join in a friendly informal group.  For further information call Steve Collard on 0548 845 5927
24th November – Saturday   Carole & Sue will be at the top of the High Street in Girne from 10.30am with tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).   If you are in town why not take the opportunity of buying some raffle tickets for some superb prizes.  For more information click here  
26th November – Monday  Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch – 1st Annual General Meeting.

In the Dining Room of the Deniz Kizi Hotel, Alsancak.  Registration starts at 7.30pm, Meeting at 8pm.  Members only, who must have a valid membership card in order to attend and vote.  Notification of Attendance forms must be returned to the Secretary by email at info@rblkyrenia.com or to the RBL stall at Lambousa Market, by midnight on Sunday 18th November 2012

26th November – Mondaya  The Black Olive Café and Studio will be starting children’s line dancing.  This will be from 4.15pm to 5pm for children over the age of 8 years, all welcome.  Price – 5TL.   The classes will then be held every Monday following.  To book a place tel: 0533 535 5133
28th November – Wednesday  The Black Olive Café in Incesu are hoping to hold a cake decorating class so if you are interested  please contact Vicki on 0533 8355133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com   More information to follow.
28th November – Wednesday  From 5.30pm onwards, The Olive Press will be having their first wine tasting evening.  This will be a chance to sample some lovely samples supplied by Cape Wines.
30th November – Fridayaa  Kyrenia Chamber Choir will be holding their annual Christmas Concert in the Crypt at Bellapais Abbey at 8pm.  Admission will be by donation of 25TL in return for a programme.  All proceeds will be donated to the SOS Children’s Village Kindergarten.
30th November – Fridayaa  Ladies Night at The Black Olive Café, Incesu.  The theme will be a Fashion Show.  Dinner will be 15TL served between 7pm and 8pm followed by the fashion show.  If you have any ideas for future themes please let Vicki know by calling 0533 8355133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com

1st December – Saturday  There will be a Christmas Market from 4pm to 8pm at the Goethe Institute, Lefkoşa which is situated in the buffer zone at Ledra Palace.  There will be many stalls offering Christmas Fayre such as foodstuffs, decorations, gifts etc.  Christmas is getting closer so why not go along and see what is on offer.
1st December – Saturday  Carole & Sue will be at the Haci Ali Hotel in Lapta with tickets for the Golden Heart Raffle in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).  Johnny Lee is having a “Party Night” starting at 7.30pm to celebrate friends’ wedding anniversary plus some birthdays, including his own.  Johnny will be performing his Elvis impression.   The evening is open to everyone and people are asked to purchase raffle tickets in place of an admission fee.  If you wish to book a table for a meal at the hotel contact Ali on 0533 859 4943.

1st December – Saturday  Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) will be holding their Christmas Bazaar at the Teachers Hotel, Girne, commencing at 11am.   There will be a wide range of Christmassy items plus Tombola and a Grand Draw.  Hot mince pies and mulled wine will be available and there will also be a visit from Santa.  Click  KAR

5th and 6th December Wednesday & Thursday Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their seasonal “sing-alongs” at the Mountain View Hotel starting at 7.30pm.  The price is 25TL which will include a plate of seasonal nibbles.  This is always a popular event so book early to avoid disappointment.
6th/7th/8th December Thursday/ Friday/Saturdayaa  The Kyrenia Amateur Dramatic Society (KADS) will be performing 2 plays “Costa del Packet” and “World Premiere” at the Kyrenia Municipality Cultural Centre (near the Police Station and Wednesday Market site).  The performance will commence at 8pm and all profits will be donated to Kyrenia Animal Rescue and the SOS Children’s Village.   Click KADS

NCCCT

NCCCT will be holding their Christmas Bazaar at the Pia Bella Hotel, Girne, starting at 11am.  There will be lots of Christmassy items to choose from so make a note in your diary for an event not to be missed.  

12th December – Wednesday  The Olive Press – Christmas Party.  7.30 with a carol concert starting at around 8pm followed by a buffet and then lots of entertainment.  Entry is free but please confirm if you are going to help plan the buffet.  Tel:  Martin Appleton on 0533 880 1196
14th December – Friday  Grup Umut will be performing at the Bedesten in Lefkoşa in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).  The concert starts at 8pm.  Click link for programme
14th December – Friday  Black Olive Café will be holding a Turbo Tarot event, a small taste of tarot reading for those who may like to know what 2013 has in store for them – 10TL.  Dinner will be from 7pm at 15TL.
15th December – Saturday  aaa  Children’s Christmas Party at The Black Olive Café in Incesu with a visit from Father Christmas.  5TL entry includes snack and juice.  Lots of fun.  For more information call Vicki on 0533 8355133

16th December – Sunday  Doğankoy Church will be holding a pre-Christmas coffee morning from 11am to 2pm.  This is a lovely venue so why not go along and meet the locals and enjoy this wonderful piece of heritage.
17th December – Monday

NCCCT

 Due to the closeness of Christmas and the many other events taking place the NCCCT Bingo Night at the Ravine has now been CANCELLED.

Check the Events Calendar for the next Bingo Night which will now be held in the New Year.

21st December – Friday  Christmas Fun Quiz at The Black Olive Café in Incesu starting at 7pm.  Dinner and dessert will be 20TL.  Teams must be pre-booked.  Call Vicki on 0533 8355133
23rd December – Sundayaa  The Lapta Municipality will be holding a Darts Tournament at Olive Paradise Village, Sht. Ibrahim Nidai Caddesi, Lapta, commencing 2pm.  The entrance fee is 10YL and bookings should be made with Berke Ertopaloğlu on 0533 834 9878.

There will be prizes of 1st – 500TL, 2nd 300TL, 3rd – 200TL and each of the 3 winners will also have 1 night’s stay for 2 people with breakfast  at the Olive Paradise Village.

31st December – Mondayaa

The Olive Press will be having a New Year’s Eve Night Party.  Retro fun and games is the theme for the evening – Mr & Mrs; Play Your Cards Right; Beetle Drive and Shove Halfpenny.  Entry is free and couples will be needed for Mr & Mrs and teams of 2 for Play Your Cards Right.   This sounds like a real fun night.  For more information call Martin Appleton on 0533 8801196
